MVR Platform FAQs

Q. How does the MVR platform work?

A. The insurance company will list vehicles that are required to be replaced outlining colour preference, any options/accessories and the customers’ delivery location. As a dealer within that franchise you will be notified by email that a vehicle is ready to be sourced

  • Once logged in, you will be taken to the ‘supply page’ which will list all vehicles within your franchise
  • Click into the vehicle and enter your offer to supply by itemising your pricing, colour and availability and load your PDF quote. Don’t forget to check the insurers terms and hit ‘submit quote’
  • Your bid will then appear under your ‘dashboard bidding page’ which will also show if there are other offers giving you the opportunity to re-quote if you wish (Note that it is not always the lowest price that is selected as colour and availability is the leading selection criteria)
  • At the end of an auction, your offer will move into your ‘dashboard awaiting review page’. All offers will be reviewed by the insurance company who will then select the best offer according to colour preference, price, and availability.
  • Once a selection has been made, all bidders will be notified by email as to whether they were successful or not and the reason.
  • If you are the successful bidder, the Insurance company will also contact you to make arrangements for payment and collection. The vehicle then moves into your ‘dashboard won page’ where a purchase order from the insurance company will be available outlining the requirements of contacting the customer as well as invoicing structure. You will then be required to upload copy of the final invoice for payment which the insurer will pay within their terms.
  • MVR will then email the successful dealer a ‘successful supply’ invoice of $350 +GST that is payable within 7 days

Q. Does the lowest price always win?

A. No, there are a variety of factors that contribute to the final selection including but not limited to colour preference, delivery availability and final drive away pricing.

Q. What must be included in my quote?

A. The full quote must include all options/accessories as listed with the vehicle, 12 months registration, stamp duty, GST, LCT (if applicable) and be the final drive away price. If you are more than 50kms from the delivery suburb, you must also include delivery charges (this must be via a truck and not driven)

Q. I have a question about a current running auction, how do I ask?

A. Just click on the have a question button listed next to the vehicle and enter your query and an MVR team member will come back to you

Q: I’ve missed the end of an auction, can I still make an offer?

A: If the vehicle is showing awaiting review then you can give a member of the MVR team a call with the claim number and express an interest in supplying the vehicle. Depending on the timeframe lapsed and offers supplied the vehicle may no longer be available to bid on.

Q What information do I need to supply when I bid?

A. The system is very simple and easy to use with all boxes listed required to be completed including but not limited to; colour available, delivery timeframe, options/accessories, discount, stamp duty, registration, GST etc. and the final drive-away price

You also need to provide a quote which is to be uploaded in PDF format by clicking on the upload quote button. You will not be able to submit bid without uploading quote.

Q. Do I need to quote on the newest vehicle available?

A. No, the Insurance company will consider offers on any vehicle that is newer than the original vehicle the customer had. It needs to include the minimum features that the previous vehicle had and have a newer build date

Q. I have been notified that I am successful but I am yet to hear from the Insurer? Who do I contact to arrange delivery?

A. The insurance company will be in contact with the winning dealer within 4 hours to arrange delivery. If you haven’t heard from the insurance company within 4 hours contact MVR to discuss at info@motorvehiclereplacement.com.au.

Q. How long do I have to hold stock for once I have provided a quote?

A. The Insurers expectation is 72 hours from quote request however you will generally be notified well before this time if you have been unsuccessful

Q. What fees are involved?

A. There is no cost to participate. An invoice for $350 plus GST will be issued to the successful dealer once the transaction has been confirmed by the insurance company.

A. Do I have to pay a fee to bid?

A. No, it is free to bid as many times as you like!
